When Tuffy Tuff was inspired to write and produce Ghettosoundchek he knew it was a hit the moment he recorded it. When Tuffy Tuff made the beat on his sp1200 drum machine, he immediately called his homies Jim Weaver and Jay a/k/a Shade to hear the track. Jim Weaver and Jay were the A & R reps for 7500 BSMT. When they arrived at the crib Tuffy Tuff immediately played the beat. Jim Weaver started dancing and was screaming saying "man what the f*** were you thinking about when you made that beat"! Afterwards Tuffy Tuff let Jim and Jay hear the lyrics to Ghettosoundchek and they couldn't believe that it was a reggae chat song.

The following day Tuffy Tuff booked studio time at Audiomation Studios that later became AAM Studios based in Pittsburgh Pa. The six song album titled "Strictly 4 De Boomin System" was recorded in one week and released on Unity Records Cassettes, Vinyl and the newest media to the industry at that time, Compact Discs. CD players were newly introduced and many people did not own a CD player. Music fans purchased a CD and also purchased CD players at the local retail outlets boosting CD player sales in the city of Pittsburgh.

"Strictly 4 de Boomin System" was distributed regionally by M.S. Distributors Chicago IL, Galaxy Records Pittsburgh Pa, and National Record Mart Pittsburgh Pa. Street dejays such as Biz Markee , Nick Nice, Dejay Boogie, Mocha, Sly Jock and special radio shows such as hot 8 at 8, The Bad Boys, and Strictly For The Streets on WAMO FM 106 Pittsburgh, helped in the promotion of the featured song "Ghettosoundchek". The key Record Pools that also contributed to the Ghettosoundchek movement are Rickets Records Saddlebrook New Jersey, Atlanta Star Record Report Atlanta Ga, Vip Record Pool NYC, Five Star Record Pool Cincinnati Oh, Jazsays Record Pool Pittsburgh and a host of record pools that are too many to mention. Shortly after the regional release of "Strictly 4 De Boomin System" Ghettosoundchek became Pittsburgh Pa's anthem instantaneously.

Tuffy Tuff and his first cousin Chuck Sanders traveled to Atlanta Georgia where Chuck had set up two special appearances for Tuffy Tuff to perform at Diamonds and Pearls and Club 112. Tuffy Tuff's style was fresh and new and he captured the crowd with his Pittsburgh sound.

Ghettosoundchek can be heard in the clubs in Atlanta, New York, Ohio, Chicago, Kentucky, Albany NY, Miami, Indiana, Detroit, Las Vegas, Jamaica, and several cities and states in the South East and Mid West Regions.

Tuffy Tuff has appeared in Billboard and Blaze magazines for his surprisingly independent success with Ghettosoundchek. Ghettosoundchek was used as the music sound bed for Antonio Bryant's Madd Sports interview on BET. As an opening act performer Tuffy Tuff has opened up for: Shabba Ranks, B2K, Super Cat, Special Ed, Curtis Blow, Junior Demus, Foxy Brown, Tha Outsidaz, Mimms, Jibbs and De La Soul to name a few.

Ghettosoundchek remains a classic and is in demand until this present day.
